I really miss the days when I was a little kid with my Geocities website full of plagiarized shitty dad jokes, glitter backgrounds, and transparent unicorn gifs.

I got my Geocities website after Yahoo owned Geocities. I was so little that I mainly used drag and drop, and anything that was gray or code-y-looking, I would call my mommy to help me because I didn't understand it well. Unfortunately, Yahoo murdered Geocities and I got bored anyway and didn't know what to do with a website anymore.

Instead, I got a DeviantArt since my mom felt it was a relatively safe way for me to socialize online with my friends. All my friends got DA accounts when we were dumb little preteens, and we posted our art that we thought was so cool. I got into anime and cosplay, and generally posted the most embarrassing years of my life on there. I say embarrassing in an endearing way! I don't regret one bit of it, it was wholesome fun. Though DA was not as safe as mom thought, even despite age restrictions, there was all kinds of weird Brony art since we were on during those hell years.

Unfortunately, I also grew up with Facebook and YouTube. As I've gotten older, social media has become more and more of a disgusting leech on society. Advertisers and corporations have overrun it all and are treating us consumers like farmed pate geese just constantly shoving content down our gullets whether or not we actually want to consume it. All platforms have lost their indie and genuine social appeal. And if you think TikTok still has it, you're so wrong. Musical.ly kind of had it when it was cosplayers socializing and having fun, but when it got bought out it was ruined long ago. If you're a kid growing up with this and you somehow found my site, RUN. RUN NOW. It is hard to delete your accounts, especially the longer you stay on. Like mentally and emotionally it is hard. But if you do it sooner rather than later, your older self will thank you! Come get creative with all the people making unique websites. You can be cringe without being shamed, and there aren't advertiser-vultures constantly breathing down your neck. TikTok has inherited every issue from all the platforms people like me grew up using, and just put them on absolute fucking hyperdrive mode. The cons of it existing outweight any addictive serotonin-dose benefits you get.

The only genuinely good things we have are the ones we make for ourselves for fun, not money. So here is my site for fun! Just fun. More will get added later, I hope you bookmark it and come back later when I've added more!
